About

Dogs Aren’t What We Do. They’re How We Live.

The Coriell family, Chris, Jennifer, and their daughter Alexis, assumed ownership of Chesterfield Kennels in late 2025. Built on a lifelong love of dogs and decades of hands-on experience, the kennel reflects the way they live every day. As a family-run operation, dogs are not just their work; they are at the center of their daily lives.

Together, they bring more than 30 years of experience exhibiting dogs. From grooming and conditioning to training and presentation, this background has shaped a deep respect for structure, routine, and individualized care. Those same principles guide how every dog is cared for during their stay.

The Coriell’s understand that leaving a dog behind requires trust. When you leave your dog with them, you are trusting them with a member of your family. Their goal is simple: to provide a safe, attentive, and comfortable home away from home, where every dog is treated as one of their own.

Chris

Chris grew up in a home with dogs, including Boxers, Maltese, and Yorkies. He is active in showing, grooming, and training, and his involvement in dog competitions and breed care has given him a keen understanding of how to make each dog feel safe and at home.

Jennifer

Jennifer grew up in a family that bred Collies, learning early about responsible breeding, proper care, and canine behavior. She has also worked with Labrador Retrievers, Shetland Sheepdogs, Bullmastiffs, Dobermans, Golden Retrievers, and Great Danes.

With decades of professional kennel experience, she oversees daily operations and continues to show, groom, and train dogs.

Alexis

Following in her parents’ footsteps, Alexis began junior showmanship at eight years old and earned four Best Junior Handler awards at national breed specialties and has finished three Golden Retriever champions. Through years of showing and caring for dogs, she has developed a strong sense of responsibility and knows how to ensure each dog is happy, safe, and well cared for. Her dog, Seneca, ranked #10 Golden Retriever in the US in 2025.
